What is Spectrum?

Hi guys, Hope you doing well, our todays blog topic is Spectrum. We heard about Spectrum in telecom filed at some point, so we will discuss about spectrum in this blog. What is Spectrum – 1. Spectrum refers to electromagnetic waves or range of frequencies we used for different applications. 2. Electromagnetic spectrum divided into radio waves, microwaves, infrared (IR), visible light, ultraviolet (UV), X-rays and gamma rays.     (Source - Wikipedia)   3. Frequency range for wireless communication is varies between 10 6  to 10 11  Hz. 4. If we talk about specific frequency range use for mobile communication in India, we have different range for 2G, 3G, 4G. Frequency range for GSM (2G) is 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. Frequency range for CDMA is 850 MHz. Frequency range for WCDMA (3G) is 900 MHz and 2100 MHz. Frequency range for 4G LTE (4G) is 850 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz.
